Apple ID/iCloud Guide

1. Sign in to appleID.apple.com from your browser.
2. Enter your Apple ID and password.
3. You may need to enter a verification code that was sent to your trusted device or phone number if Two Factor Authentication is set up. Learn more about setting up two-factor authentication in the iPhone guide.

You can also log in through your iPhone or iPad settings.

1. Go to Devices
2. Select a device from the list.
3. Remove any unwanted or unused devices. Caution

1. Go to the Security section and click Edit.
2. Click Change password
3. Enter your old password, and then set a new, strong password.
4. Click Change.

1. Go to the Security section and click Edit.
2. To remove a trusted phone number, click the “x” next to the phone number you want to remove. You can only remove a number if more than one is listed.

Trusted numbers are used for two-factor authentication.

1. Go to the Account section and click Edit.
2. Go to Contactable At.
3. Check the listed phone numbers and email addresses.
4. To remove a phone number or email, click the “x” next to the address you want to remove.

This feature allows an Apple user to share their location with other Apple users and have the location of Apple users that have shared their location. There is a concern that abusers may misuse this feature to track and monitor a victim, you can ‘ring fence’ a location and set notification if the user leaves or arrives at a particular location. For advice and guidance on turning off this feature please see below.

Caution

1. Click onto the ‘Find Friends app’, a map will appear with the Apple users that have shared their location with you.
2. Click on the name of the Apple user who you want to stop sharing your location with, you will see the below screen, click on the ‘More’ tab.
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, select ‘Stop Sharing My Location’.
4. Click on the ‘Me’ icon at the bottom of the screen to go into your settings to stop sharing your location.
5. Scroll down to ‘Share My Location’ and toggle off, orange is location sharing, white is off.
