CPD Accreditation number 22623Technology-facilitated abuse is not always ‘high tech’. Everyday devices and accounts are often misused to abuse and we are increasingly seeing complex cases needing support. It is the same domestic abuse we have always seen – but facilitated by technology. In recent years, the use of technology has become an integral part of daily life. It has also become a key feature in the perpetuation of domestic abuse.

Our training has been developed with the focus of educating frontline services, agencies and companies that work with or contact survivors of economic and technology-facilitated domestic abuse. It aims to raise awareness of these forms of abuse and provide professionals with the tools to recognise, respond to and support survivors of technology-facilitated and economic abuse.

Online Misogyny and the Manosphere

Date: Wednesday 21st May 2025

Time: 10am-11.30am (1.30 hours)

Tickets: £10

With the programme Adolescence raising awareness of online misogyny and the rise of the manosphere, the conversation has never become more relevant. However, misogyny is woven into every fabric of society and the Internet is a facilitator, we share insights into how this area is causing a growing threat to the safety of women and girls. Delivered by our specialist Technology-Facilitated Abuse and Economic Empowerment team, this training introduces the growing threat of online misogyny and the manosphere. The 1.30 hour session will look at how these communities fuel technology-facilitated abuse and shape harmful attitudes towards women and girls. It will support frontline practitioners to understand online misogyny, recognise the signs of online radicalisation and understand the intersecting impacts it has on survivors and their children.
